Today, one of the most common aesthetic surgeries performed is rhinoplasty.
The main purpose is to perform an operation that is in harmony with the person's face and allows for healthy breathing.
In rhinoplasty, it is most important that the nose is suitable for the face. Ratios on the face differ for each patient, so rhinoplasty should be designed for each individual.
Prior to rhinoplasty surgery, we evaluate your expectations through a consultation. It is important to assess whether you are a suitable candidate for this surgery. We also need to diagnose diseases that affect breathing and smell, such as deviation (curvature of the wall made of bone and cartilage in the middle of the nose), enlargement of nasal concha (lower nasal turbinates), nasal polyps, chronic sinusitis, by performing a detailed endoscopic examination before the surgery. In this way, we can ensure that your nose breathes more comfortably with rhinoplasty surgery.
We perform the surgery under general anesthesia. Prior to the surgery, an anesthesiologist evaluates your suitability for anesthesia. The duration of the surgery varies from person to person, but we can say that it is an average of 2-3 hours.
We use the open technique ultrasonic rhinoplasty in the surgery.
The bones are shaped with precision using the piezo device and tur, the latest technology, without causing excessive trauma. Therefore, we observe very little bruising and swelling in most of our patients after the surgery.
Thus, we obtain a more comfortable healing process.
The recovery period lasts for 7-10 days. Complaints that occur after the surgery disappear after one week, and our patients return to their daily lives. The nose fully takes the desired shape and the swelling goes down completely in 3-6 months.
The complete healing process and the new appearance of the nose after rhinoplasty depend on the skin type and can take up to a year in some cases.
Revision rhinoplasty is performed on patients who have undergone one or more rhinoplasty surgeries in the past or who are unhappy with the results despite having a successful operation.
Revision rhinoplasty is a more challenging surgery from a surgical perspective due to adhesions in tissues and deformities in bone and cartilage structures caused by the previous surgery. In revision rhinoplasty, if the patient has insufficient cartilage, ear or rib cartilage may be needed.
Considering that revision rhinoplasty candidates have previously experienced disappointment, all possibilities should be evaluated in detail and shared with them.
